Crossing paths with Sentou at a very young age was an amazing opportunity. It is with great pleasure that I keep on designing its future, as I have done for more than 30 years, imagining an Art de Vivre in tune with the times.

Pierre Romanet
After training in design and interior architecture at the Ecole Boulle in Paris, Pierre Romanet began his career in the office of the designer Marc Held and took part in several interior architecture and design projects.
In 1989, it was through Marc Held that he met Robert Sentou and his associate Jacques Boissonnas who were looking for a successor to lead the future of the brand. He then took over the management of the company, which had been publishing and distributing furniture for the home and community since 1947, including the creations of great names in design such as Charlotte Perriand and Roger Tallon.
Pierre Romanet décide alors de diversifier et de rajeunir l’offre Sentou, toujours
majoritairement constituée de mobilier édité et fabriqué en exclusivité dans les ateliers du Périgord.
He expanded the collections to cover all areas of home furnishing (lighting, tableware, textiles, accessories, etc.) welcoming the exceptional AKARI light sculptures collection by Isamu Noguchi from 1991, as well as creations from new designers like Tsé&Tsé associées, ceramist Brigitte de Bazelaire, extravagant design by Claudio Colucci or the textile creations of Robert le Héros, to name but a few. All of these new pieces complemented the historic Sentou collection, which included iconic designs by Roger Tallon, Charlotte Perriand, Roger Fatus, Etienne Fermigier and the most talented designers of the 1950s to 1970s.
In parallel to his activities as a gallery owner, which involved meeting new designers, selecting new pieces and organising exhibitions, Pierre Romanet found his way back to creation in the early 2000s. He revisited iconic designs of the Sentou collection, adapting them to the air du temps...
En complicité avec Romain Luret, ils dessinent et conçoivent un grand nombre de références qui sont devenues aujourd’hui des incontournables de la collection Sentou
